Dr Winston Paul Rene Padayachee Specialist Urologist MBChB (UKZN), MMed Urology (Wits), FCUrol (SA)

Dr WPR Padayachee is a specialist urologist with a deep commitment to providing quality urological care to his patients. His medical journey began at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2010.

Pursuing a passion for urology led him to the University of Witwatersrand for further specialisation, where he completed his Master of Medicine in Urology and his Fellowship of the College of Urologists of South Africa in 2021. Adding to his expertise, he obtained a University Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from Strasbourg in 2023, mastering the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr Padayachee has garnered extensive experience across all aspects of general urology. His areas of focus include the management of benign prostatic enlargement, urinary tract stones, male sexual dysfunction, urological malignancies, trauma, incontinence, and infectious diseases. He is also certified in several minimally invasive techniques, reflecting his commitment to providing empathetic care.

His approach to patient care is influenced by the philosophy that effective communication and patient counselling are paramount. He believes in working alongside his patients to make informed decisions about their treatment options, creating an environment of trust and collaboration.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Padayachee is actively involved in the academic side of urology, teaching medical students and training registrars to become specialist urologists. This dedication to education underscores his commitment to advancing the field of urology through evidence-based and ethical care.
